One biggie for me is Transport control via hardware midi controllers that have transport controls (M-Audio Oxygen 49 for example) I have not kept up with the new Orion Betas though so perhaps you already got somewhere with this? I've been pushing this for years in a non demanding way and I was surprised that not many people were too enthusiastic about it. I think it might not work in real time with sample based VSTs but that will be a matter of implementation. However I must tell you in advance that I am running Windows 2000, so those mini dumps maybe are not available.
