My real name is Jouni Airaksinen and I’m just an ordinary guy from Finland. Well maybe not. I work in a company which developes billing software and provides billing services for tele-communication companies. Team I’m in is responsible for the web interface which is being developed with Ruby on Rails. That’s what I do for the living at the moment.

My free time is more interesting part of my life. I could describe myself as a composer and serious programmer. I started programming when I was 6-year-old and composing 13-year-old. So far that means over 20 years of programming experience in various areas, programming languages and for a while I did teached programming. I’m artistic mind, so graphics isn’t a problem either.

Composing and music. That’s big part. Recently I’ve started living my dream and built small home studio consisting hardware synthesizers with computer as the mixer. What usually comes out of my studio is space theme influenced 80’s disco music called Spacesynth. I’m using Synapse Audio’s Orion Platinum as the main sequencer.

At some point I ended up being beta tester of Orion Platinum and later I started working for Synapse Audio as a part time programmer. That work is taking quite a bit of my time and this blog will be my diary of that work among other things I find worth of writing about. Hopefully you find my experience as sequencer programmer interesting.
